A singer who moved from girl-group pop to solo work, with acting roles in 'Power' and 'Notorious' along the way.
For a sense of her range, check out 'Out Here On My Own' from her debut and the later collaboration 'Real Chicks' with Lil Kim. They bookend her move into her own lane.
She's one of those voices that's been around in different forms for a while. You might remember her from 3LW's 'Playas Gon' Play' or her own track 'Out Here On My Own.' More recently, she's put out songs like 'Neva Get Enuf' with Lil Wayne, keeping her sound in that R&B lane while working with hip-hop names. It's a career that's spanned girl groups, solo albums, and some solid acting work too.
She started on Broadway in 'Hairspray' in 2001, then joined 3LW the next year. After the group ended, she released her first solo album 'All Things Considered' in 2010 and followed it with 'Two Sides' in 2019. Alongside the music, she's taken film and TV roles, including playing Lil' Kim in 'Notorious' and Tasha St. Patrick on 'Power.'
