Naza Leão

Naza Leão was born in Niterói, Brazil, in 1949. She started performing in local clubs and festivals in the mid-1960s, and her debut album 'Naza' came out in 1967. By 1969, she was performing at Carnegie Hall in New York alongside figures like Antônio Carlos Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes.

Her song 'Eu Te Quero Pra Mim' appeared on the 1970 album 'Naza Sempre.' It was written by Haroldo Barbosa and Luiz Reis. The track became one of her most recognizable recordings.

Leão's career included some public criticism of her personal style and outspoken views, though the specifics aren't well-documented in most accounts. She kept recording and performing through the 1970s.
