N'DIGO formed in the early 1990s with Alex Bradford on lead vocals, Dorian Holley and Anthony Nelson on backing vocals, Larry Anthony on keyboards, Daryl Jackson on bass, and Michael Thomas on drums. Their first album came out in 1994, followed by '24-7' in 1996 and 'The Way...' in 1998.
Their song 'Good Morning' became a recognizable piece in contemporary gospel circles. The band's approach to gospel music drew some criticism from within Christian communities for blending soulful harmonies with rhythmic grooves that some felt blurred lines between sacred and secular styles.
They released 'The Ultimate Collection' in 2001. The group maintained their musical direction despite the debates around their sound, keeping their lineup stable through those years of recording and performing.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
