Their name translates to 'From the Hills,' which nods to their beginnings in the highlands of Rio de Janeiro. They released their self-titled debut album in 2014.
Their song 'Sonho Azul' became particularly well-known, though in 2016 it was at the center of a plagiarism dispute over similarities to a traditional folk song. The band maintained it was an original work. They followed with albums like 'Do Jeito Que Eu Quero' in 2016 and 'Destino' in 2018.
Their music draws from Brazilian traditions, weaving in samba and pagode rhythms. Other tracks like 'Çarandilheira' and 'Sinhô' show their range within that style. They've worked with artists including Roberto Carlos and Zeca Pagodinho. A live album, 'Ao Vivo,' came out in 2020.
