Nega formed in Serbia in 2002 with vocalist Srđan Gojković 'Gige', guitarists Miloš Vojvodic and Goran Vuletić, bassist Milan Jelić, and drummer Nenad Kovačević. They built a following with raw, aggressive music that didn't fit neatly into existing metal categories.
Their 2006 debut album 'Samo Ako Je Ovo Kraj' brought them wider attention, particularly through the single 'Abase'. The band's lyrics often dealt with social injustice and political corruption, which sometimes drew criticism alongside their confrontational live shows.
Nega released several more albums including 'Revolucija' in 2008 and 'Dekada' in 2012. The lineup changed over time, Milan Jelić left in 2014, replaced by Miloš Milisavljević, and Goran Vuletić departed in 2018 with Jovan Šarenac taking his place. They continued playing live shows with their characteristic intensity.
