Negrutzz is a Romanian band that formed around Marius Negrutiu on vocals and guitar, his brother Cristi on drums, and Vlad Dobrescu on bass. They released their first album in 2003 and put out several more over the next decade, including 'Te-am Iubit' in 2005 and '7' in 2013.
Their song 'Número Errado' became particularly well-known in Romania. The track's theme about a wrong number call and its cryptic lyrics seemed to connect with listeners, turning it into something of an anthem about missed connections.
Beyond that single, their catalog includes songs like 'Perto de mim' and 'Amor Assim', which features Naaya Lelis. Their sound incorporated elements of Romanian folk music alongside more contemporary influences, which drew some criticism early on but also defined their approach.
They compiled a best-of collection in 2016.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
