Nello formed in 2004 when Guillaume Ledoux met guitarist Nicolas Dufournet. They were later joined by bassist Amaury Salmon and drummer Renaud Guillot. The band released their debut EP in 2008, followed by the full-length album "Adieu Tristesse" in 2012.
Their 2014 single "C'est Ma Vie" became their breakout track. The song's straightforward message about self-acceptance connected with listeners and helped establish Nello's presence in French music.
