Nesser was a Spanish rock band that formed in Madrid in 1980. The original lineup included José María Martín on vocals, Guillermo Díez on guitar, José Garrido "Gato" on bass, and Carlos Soto on drums. They put out their first album in 1982, which had the song "Vacaciones Permanentes."
That track became their biggest hit, with a catchy melody and lyrics about wanting to escape that connected with listeners. They followed it with another album called "Aquella Ciudad Sin Nombre" in 1983. The band's sound mixed new wave, punk, and rockabilly elements.
Nesser released four studio albums in total, including "Hotel de las Estrellas" in 1985 and another self-titled record in 1989. The lineup changed over time, with Gato leaving the band in 1985. Their music from the 1980s still gets played on Spanish rock radio stations.
