Archive material and source history
NeuMann formed in 2005 with Felipe Neu on vocals and guitar, Márcio Buzelin on drums, Paulo Ricardo on bass, and Vinícius Nogueira on guitar. They put out their self-titled debut album in 2007, which included the song "Te Ver Bem." That track caught on and became their most recognizable piece.
Their lyrics sometimes touched on social issues and relationships in ways that stirred debate. Critics called them too explicit at times. In 2009, Felipe Neu was diagnosed with cancer, but the band kept working while he underwent treatment.
They released three more albums after the debut: "Tudo Que Você Podia Ser" in 2010, "Aurora" in 2013, and "Luz" in 2016. The music mixed pop and rock with Brazilian rhythms, though the lineup and sound stayed fairly consistent across those records.
