Neuro Ruptura came out of São Paulo's underground in the early 2000s. Their music mixed heavy metal, hardcore, and punk, with Rodrigo Lima's raw vocals over Gustavo Zolin's guitar work, André Amaro's bass, and Fernando Schaefer's drums.
Their first album was called "Confusão" in 2003, which gave a name to one of their songs. They followed it with "Mortificação" in 2005 and "Distopia" in 2008. Other tracks like "Em Meio à Guerra" and "Vida Rude" show the kind of material they were working with.
Some of their lyrics dealt with social and political topics, which drew criticism from conservative circles. Their live shows were known for being intense, with mosh pits and crowd surfing that sometimes led to complaints about violence.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
