New was a German electronic duo formed in 1984 by Bernhard Hennen and Peter Reichardt. Their debut album 'Perfect Way' came out the following year. The track 'Alone Now' from 1987, featuring guest vocals from Eric Sky, became their most recognizable song.
Hennen and Reichardt worked together through the late 1980s, releasing several albums including 'Aliens' and 'Ideal'. Reichardt left the group in 1990 to pursue solo work, after which Hennen continued recording under the New name. They reunited for a tour in the early 2000s.
