New Feeling formed in 1998 in Salvador, Brazil, led by vocalist Léo Chaves with his brother Victor on bass. Their song 'Ainda Amo Você' became a breakout hit, helping establish them nationally. The band's debut album, also titled 'Ainda Amo Você,' arrived in 1999.
Their music often dealt with themes of love and heartbreak, with songs like 'Quem Sou' and 'Só uma Chance' following a similar emotional vein. They released several albums through the 2000s, including 'Nação do Baião' in 2001 and 'O Mundo É Meu' in 2003.
New Feeling faced some challenges later in their career, including a legal dispute over royalties in 2009 and personal conflicts between the Chaves brothers. The band eventually dissolved after a hiatus around 2014. Guitarist Emerson Morbeck and drummer Rafael Almeida were also part of the group during their active years.
