New Heaven NH formed in Mexico City in 1993 with Jesús Falcón on vocals, Sergio Lizárraga on guitar, Ricardo Carriedo on bass, and Jorge Lozano on drums. Their debut album came out in 1996, also called 'Yo Volaré,' and that title track became their biggest hit.
They played a mix of pop, rock, and Latin rhythms that connected with listeners across Latin America. After the debut, they put out more albums like 'Todo Cambia' in 1999 and 'Contigo Sí' later on.
In 1998, the band was in a car accident that injured several members and forced them to cancel a tour. Some of their lyrics drew criticism too, like 'El Poder del Pueblo' for its political tone, and the album 'Renacer' faced bans in certain countries for explicit content.
