New Horizons formed in 2008 in Aspen, Colorado, with Ethan Roberts on vocals and guitar, Emily Carter on cello, Liam Walsh on percussion, and Ava Grey on keyboards. They put out their first album, 'Celestial Tapestry,' in 2010. Carter left in 2013, but the other three kept going.
Their song 'I Can't Tell You' came out sometime after that. They released a few more albums, including 'Starlight Sonatas' in 2012 and 'Echoes of the Void' in 2015. The music was generally described as indie-folk with an ethereal quality, though some early critics found it too light for mainstream tastes.
