The People Of The Lock

She was a saddened girl

Kept lots within

When asked she'd startle and try to grin

Always say it was nothing much

Never

Emotional

Stricken

Stricken with fraught

Wrapped up tight like she was caught

And when we'd pull her away

They'd come out laughing

And would say

We are the people of the lock

We suffer with the abesnce of

All her rotten thoughts

So leave her

Leave her to be

We need her with her broken key

Still we tried to pull her away

So they ripped out her veins and she drained away

Years went by and she stayed all chained

Chained by these people who relished her pain

Still we tried to reach out to her

We were

Emotional

Sickened

Sickened distraught

Tired of this filthy rusted lock

Showed her what she could be

And helped her pick up and mend her key

She faced the people of the lock

She barged through their doors and upturned all

Of their pathetic plots

She told them

Leave her to be

She wasn't alone and she could see

Her future

Her family

And her very own shiny

Unbroken key

Now she's free

Healed mentally

No more locks or scaring deeds

Ready for this life to be

Surrounded by friends

And family

And whenever shes feeling down

She'll look up knowing she's safe and sound

In her heart she knows that she

Has us all within her litlle key

One day she glimpsed

The people of the lock

She laughed in they're faces as they choked

On her happy thoughts

They left her

Left her to be

Ran away when they saw her key

And were never seen again
