Nico Fidenco was born Enrico Pascale in 1933. He started using the stage name Nico Fidenco around 1960, when he released "Legata a Un Granello Di Sabbia," which became a hit. He played piano, guitar, and saxophone, and his early background included jazz and classical music.
He recorded songs like "Amore Scusami," "Ciao amore ciao," and "La Voglia Di Ballare." Over time he made more than forty studio albums, including titles such as "Il Mondo," "Stessa Spiaggia, Stesso Mare," and "Gente."
Fidenco worked with musicians including Franco De Gemini on keyboards, Alberto Baldan on bass, and Sergio Farina on drums. He died in 2020.
