Nik Pain formed in 2003 with singer Nikolas Koci, guitarist Michael Ciravolo, bassist Fernando Perdomo, and drummer Zach Johnsen. Their debut single 'Hoffnung' came out that same year, a track that got some attention for its emotional pull.
Koci and Ciravolo stayed with the project through lineup changes. They put out a self-titled album in 2004, followed by 'Resilience' in 2007 and 'Rebirth' in 2011. The band's sound mixed rock with some electronic touches.
