Nilo Pinta formed in the early 2000s with three musicians: João Paulo, Chico, and Marcelinho. They worked on their sound through local performances, dealing with the typical financial struggles of a new band. Their debut album 'Entre o Real e a Fantasia' came out in 2007, with the title track becoming a notable song for them.
That album was followed by others like 'Caravana' in 2009, 'Sol do Meu Sertão' in 2012, and 'Nada É por Acaso' in 2015. The group's lineup eventually included Thiago on guitar and vocals alongside the original members. Their songs, including 'Relâmpago' and 'Shalom,' have found an audience in Brazil without needing to fit neatly into commercial or alternative categories.
