José Nilson da Silva Filho, known as Nilsinho, handled vocals and lyrics. Tanaka Costa played guitar and brought a feel for regional rhythms to their music. They lived in a rural community and their work was sometimes dismissed as simple 'caipira' music early on.
They put out several albums including 'Brasileirinho' in 1977 and 'A Volta dos Caipiras' in 1982. Other songs like 'Pagode No Sitio Esperança' and 'Rancho Monumento' kept to their countryside themes.
