Nitro was a heavy metal band formed in 1987, led by vocalist Jim Gillette. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1989 and included songs like 'Freight Train' and 'Cat Scratch Fever.' Guitarist Michael Angelo Batio was known for his technical playing and flashy stage presence.
The band's lineup also featured T.J. Racer on bass and Bobby Rock on drums. They played at events like the Monsters of Rock festival in 1991, but the group disbanded that same year after Batio and Rock were fired.
Nitro reunited in 1999 with some changes to the lineup and released two more albums: 'Gunnin' for Glory' in 2000 and 'Reload' in 2009. Their songs 'Angel In White' and 'Don't Go' are among their better-known tracks.
