No Gargalo is a Brazilian trio with Alma Clara on vocals, Pedro Miranda on guitar and vocals, and Felipe Piedade on drums. They put out their first EP, 'A Grande Volta,' in 2016. Their 2018 album 'Vem' included the song 'Daddy Daddy,' which became a major hit in Brazil.
That track, along with others like 'Caminho Errado' and 'Cidade da Chuva,' helped define their sound. In 2019, there was a legal dispute over claims that part of 'Daddy Daddy' was plagiarized, which ended in a settlement. The band has also drawn some criticism for their political views.
They've kept a steady presence without much of the dramatic rise-and-fall narrative that sometimes follows pop acts. Their music, including songs like 'Cool' and 'Meu bem,' continues to find listeners who connect with it.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
