Archive material and source history
NOAH formed in 1998 with vocalist Mitsuru Matsuoka, guitarist Yasuhiko Hoshino, bassist Hiroki Miyamoto, and drummer Mioko Yamaguchi. Their self-titled debut album came out the following year. The band's 2001 album 'Aurora' included the track 'Waga Michi yo'.
In 2003, Matsuoka was arrested for drug possession, which led to a temporary break in the band's activities. They returned later that year with the album 'Eyes on Me'. Their lyrics have sometimes drawn criticism for addressing social and political topics.
NOAH released a compilation called 'NOAH'S ARK' in 2011 and put out 'Milestone' in 2018. Other songs in their catalog include 'Dine Fodspor', 'Endnu En Nat', 'Tilbage Til Mig Selv', and 'Bros Before Hoes'.
