Noam Bettan

Noam Bettan is an Israeli musician who started writing and performing his own songs as a teenager in Jerusalem. He released his debut album 'Hayom' in 2012 when he was 23, and its title track became a hit in Israel. The album also included the song 'Bair Sheli'.

He has performed at venues like the Royal Albert Hall in London and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and has worked with musicians including Idan Raichel and Robert Glasper. His band has included Omer Avital on double bass, Yonadav Avitan on drums, Barak Marcus on piano and keyboards, and Amit Hai Cohen on percussion.

In 2014, Bettan was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. He continued writing and performing during his treatment, and his later albums like 'Chayil BaLev' and 'Shirat HaYam' came out after that period. His lyrics often address social and political themes in Israeli society, which has drawn both praise and criticism.
