Nobody Knows formed in Osaka in 2004 with Hiroyuki Mori on vocals and guitar, Kazuya Nakamura on lead guitar, Mizuki Masuda on bass, and Gaku Takanashi on drums. They started with a couple of mini-albums in 2004 and 2005 before putting out their first full-length record in 2006.
Their 2007 album 'Hero's Come Back' gave the band its name to a wider audience, with the title track becoming one of their most recognizable songs. The group's sound leaned into melodic rock with some punk and alternative edges, and Mori's lyrics often touched on getting through ordinary struggles.
In 2008, Mori was arrested for marijuana possession, which led to a break in activity. The band came back together afterward and kept recording, putting out albums like 'NEW LIFE' in 2010 and 'No Regret' in 2014. Drummer Gaku Takanashi left in 2016 and was replaced by Shunsuke Inomata.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
