A rock band whose raw songs about addiction and difficult subjects defined their sound.
For their sound, 'Freakshow' gives you that raw rock feel. 'Cocaine' still frames what they were about from the start.
Their 2007 debut album 'Cocaine' gave them an early following with its title track's direct look at addiction. Songs like 'Freakshow' and 'Dead Man Walking' kept that dark, raw rock vein going through later albums like 'The Devil's Playground' and 'Black Mass'. Bannon's lyrics often touched on difficult subjects that sometimes drew criticism.
Nomy formed in 2005 with Lee Bannon on vocals and guitar, Max Kelly on bass, and Matt Duffy on drums. They released albums steadily from 'Cocaine' in 2007 through 'Black Mass' in 2016, with Bannon's 2008 arrest for cocaine possession becoming part of their story.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
