Walking in a shadowy forest, not too far away from home
In a place of nostalgic memories, a place of a childhood long lost
I came here looking for an answer and a link to that which I can't see
Under the sun's declining light, I behold the entrance to unreality
Intriguing pathway of my dreams, only darkness lies beyond
Far ahead a foggy shadow beacons and I follow enticed by its gesture
Across a hall of dead trees, crooked branches writhe in silent pain
From the ground and rotten roots a cold mist ascend piercing my skin
Suddenly the silence breaks, by a yell and then a rising dreadful tune
Now I see the lake, adorned with unearthly silver glare
And right above, the chanting shadows dance…
And I see, all of those shadows have a face,
And right above, holding hands, the children dance in mid air…
Slashed and wounded limbs, in ragged and stained clothes they sing
The lake slowly comes alive, like playing by their evil tune
Pallid bloody faces, in their maddening grins there's a secret concealed
Water swirls below their dancing circle, like playing by their evil tune
