Background notes

Archive material and source history

NOVAES started as a duo in 2010, when Felipe Novaes and João Pedro Novaes began playing together. They were originally called Filhos da Grávida before signing with Warner Music Brazil in 2013. The band eventually grew to include Pedro Almeida on drums and Marcelo Tofani on guitar.

Their song 'Só Vem' came out in 2015 and became a hit in Brazil.

They released their first album 'Som Maior' in 2017, followed by 'Equilíbrio' in 2019 and 'O Começo do Fim' in 2022. Their music tends to mix pop, rock, and electronic elements, and they write songs collaboratively as a four-piece.
