A New York thrash band that never softened its sound or its message about war and oppression.
For the full, unfiltered picture, start with 'Brain Death' and then check out 'Game Over'. That's where their sound and their message really locked in.
They came out of New York City in 1984 with a specific, urgent sound. Their debut 'Brain Death' was all raw thrash energy, and songs like 'Nuclear War' made their political stance clear from the start. They weren't just playing fast; they were yelling about real fears.
The band formed with John Connelly and Dan Lilker, putting out 'Brain Death' in 1986 and 'Game Over' the next year. Connelly left in 1992, and after a break in the '90s, they reunited in 2002 and kept recording into the 2010s.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
