Nujabes was the working name of Jun Seba, a Japanese producer who made mellow, jazz-infused hip-hop tracks. He started as a DJ in Tokyo's underground scene and put out his first album, 'Metaphorical Music,' in 2003. His music reached a wider audience when it was used in the anime series 'Samurai Champloo.'

He ran his own label, Hydeout Productions, which he started in 2005. Songs like 'Lady Brown' and 'Ordinary Joe' show his style, layered, atmospheric beats that feel both thoughtful and relaxed. He died in a car accident in 2010 when he was 36.
