Numero Kasikolme

Numero Kasikolme formed in 1998 with Tuomas and Arttu Leppälä alongside Matti Pellonpää. They started as three friends making music together, not as a calculated career move. Over time, other musicians like Laura Närhi, Antti Nörtö, and Jan Pehkonen joined in at various points, which naturally shifted their sound without any grand plan.

Their song 'Juhlat Nousuveden Aikaan' became something of a staple in Finland, one of those tracks that just stuck around. It's not flashy or overproduced, just a solid piece of music that people kept listening to. They also put out 'Onnellinen' and 'Velipoika,' which fit with their general approach of mixing folk elements with rock and some electronic touches.

Early on, some critics found their blend of styles a bit too scattered or experimental for what was popular at the time. The band didn't really change course because of that, though. They kept working with the same loose, collaborative setup, letting the music develop as it went.
