NYX formed in New York City with four members: vocalist Aetheria, guitarist Nox, drummer Erebus, and bassist Hypnos. Their name came from the primordial goddess of night, which fit the ethereal quality of their music. Their debut album was called 'Nocturnal' and blended symphonic rock with atmospheric melodies.
One of their songs, 'Fly Up,' became a popular anthem that got significant radio play. The band developed a reputation for energetic live shows that drew attention from both critics and fans. At one point, Aetheria left the group unexpectedly while they were still gaining momentum.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
