O Ar formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2005 with Rodrigo Tavares on vocals and guitar, Hugo Carvalhães on bass, and Rafael Castro on drums. They put out their self-titled debut album in 2008, a mix of acoustic folk and alternative rock that got some attention for its introspective feel. Their song 'Eu e Você' became their most recognizable track.
In 2012, Rodrigo Tavares was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, which led to a tour cancellation. The band came back with a second album, 'A Vida É Um Sopro,' in 2014. They've kept releasing music since, including the album 'Infinito' in 2018 and the single 'Tudo Que Eu Quero' in 2022.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
