O Barão da Pisadinha da Bahia is a duo from Itaberaba, Bahia, made up of vocalist and accordionist Felipe Escandurras (Barão) and guitarist Rodrigo Chagas. They started playing at local parties and festivals before gaining wider attention.
Their 2019 single "Passinho do Piseiro" became a breakout hit, with its danceable rhythm and playful lyrics connecting with listeners across Brazil. Another track, "Solinho Agressivo," also found an audience. The music blends forró and piseiro styles into something straightforward and rhythmic.
In 2020, they were involved in a copyright dispute over a melody in their song "Tá com Papato," which brought up some of the legal issues independent musicians can face. They've released several albums and singles since, including "Só Tem Piseiro" and "Escondidinho na Pisadinha."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
