O Barco is a Portuguese band that formed in the early 2000s. Their debut album from 2005, also called 'Aprender Amar,' included the title track that became widely known. The song 'Aprender Amar' and others like 'No Sonho Doido do Badabauê' and 'Ela' are part of their catalog.
In 2008, the band faced plagiarism accusations, which were later dropped. Vocalist Ricardo Sousa left in 2012 to work on solo material, but O Barco continued with other members. They released albums such as 'Maré Viva' in 2014 and 'Pulsos' in 2017.
Their lineup has included Ricardo Sousa on vocals, Pedro Branco on guitar, João Pinheiro on bass, and Miguel Gameiro on drums. The 2020 album 'Reviver' is among their later releases.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
