O Bom Kixote formed in Santos in 1998. The band's lineup included Tato Moreira on vocals, Fábio Pimenta on bass, and Rafael Ferreira on drums, with guitarists Marco Moura and later Eduardo Rosa joining at different points.
Their 2003 single "Amiga de Lascar" became a radio hit in Brazil, though its explicit content led some stations to ban it. The song's popularity came despite criticism that their music was too raw and unpolished.
They released albums like "Tudo o Que Sou" in 2004, "Músicas para Cortar os Pulsos" in 2007, and "O Som do Silêncio" in 2013. Their sound incorporated reggae, ska, and rock elements, but they struggled with financial issues and lineup changes that led to periods of inactivity.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
