O Kommando formed in Portugal in 1983 with Fred Ferreira on vocals, Jorge Loureiro on guitar, Luís Nunes on bass, and Luis Santos on drums. Their music mixed punk energy with lyrics that often dealt directly with sexuality and social issues, which quickly set them apart from other bands at the time.
Other tracks like 'Touro Mecânico' and 'Churrasco Na Casa da Larissa' became part of their catalog of work that didn't shy away from explicit or confrontational themes.
They released albums including 'Acordai,' 'Espelho Meu,' and 'Zero' during their initial run. After a break in the early 1990s, they reunited in 2004 and have continued performing since then.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
