A Brazilian collective mixing rap, soul, and folk traditions since 2009.
For a quick sense of their range, try 'Sussurros' for something soulful and 'Vitória' for that collaborative hip-hop energy.
O Lulo's sound isn't just hip-hop, it's São Paulo's musical layers in motion. Their 2015 debut 'Origens' blended funk and samba with rap, and tracks like 'Sussurros' show how they weave soul and Brazilian folk into the mix. They've kept that hybrid approach alive through collaborations with artists like Victor Xamã on 'Vitória' and InternoEgo on 'Miragem'.
The group formed in São Paulo in 2009 around Lulo Pereira and Lenin Alves. After their debut album 'Origens' in 2015, they released other records including the mixtape 'O Mundo É Nosso' and the full-length 'De Frente pro Crime'. Their current lineup adds DJ Hum on turntables and Maomé on drums.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
