O Maior Clichê do Mundo formed in 2009 when singer-songwriter Rafael Malenotti and guitarist Fernando Almeida started working together. They built a sound around pop-rock with a cinematic quality, writing songs that felt grounded in everyday experience.
Their debut album 'Florescer' came out in 2013 and helped establish their presence. The band followed it with albums like 'Nossa História' in 2016 and 'Só Quero Ver Você Bem' in 2019. Songs like 'Seja Refúgio' and 'GPS' became part of their setlists.
Alongside Malenotti and Almeida, the group includes Gustavo Giglio on bass and Anderson Sobrinho on drums. In 2015 they dealt with a legal dispute with a record label that led to a break, but they returned to recording and performing afterward.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
