O Nosso Balanço formed in 1995 around the duo of Dudu Nobre and Noca da Portela. Their debut album, 'Pedra Fundamental,' came out in 1997. The band's music often worked with samba and funk, and songs like 'Fala' and 'Menina' became part of their set.
In 2000, their song 'Fala' was censored by the Brazilian government. The band kept recording, putting out albums like 'Atitude' in 2001 and 'Felicidade' in 2005. They toured in South America, Europe, and the United States.
Other members included percussionist Wanderson Senna, bassist Magno Julio, and guitarist Silvério Pontes. Their later work included the 2012 album 'Balanço da Vida.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
