O Pálido Ponto formed in São Paulo in 2008, started by siblings Thiago and Eduardo Maranhão. They put out their first album, self-titled, in 2012. A few years later came 'O Segundo Disco' in 2015, and then 'Boa Sorte, Bonito' in 2018.
Their sound pulls from post-punk and dream pop, with a hazy, atmospheric quality. The song 'A Flor' is one people often point to, a slower track built around poetic lyrics and a drifting melody.
The band's current lineup includes Thiago Maranhão on vocals and guitar, Eduardo Maranhão on guitar, André Almeida on drums, and Felipe Caprini on bass and backing vocals.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
