O2 Rock formed in 2004 with Felipe Macedo on vocals, Lucas Silveira on guitar, Pedro Guedes on bass, and Thiago Barromeo on drums. They released their debut album that same year, followed by 'Revolução' in 2006 and 'Esperança' in 2008. The band took a brief hiatus around 2010 but returned to record 'Nação' in 2012 and 'Além' in 2015.
Their 2008 album 'Esperança' included the track 'Esperei Você,' which became one of their most recognizable songs. Other notable tracks from their catalog include 'Garota Iludida' and 'Não Dá Mais Pra Te Esquecer.'
O2 Rock developed a following in Brazilian rock circles, particularly for their live performances. Their music typically featured Macedo's lead vocals and Silveira's guitar work over a rhythm section anchored by Guedes and Barromeo.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
