OChoro formed in Salvador, Brazil in 2004 with Juliana Amaral, Fabiana Cozza, and Maurício Fleury. Their first album came out in 2008, followed by others like 'Indigo' in 2010 and 'Raiz' in 2014.
Amaral sings lead and writes lyrics, Cozza plays guitar, violin, and viola, and Fleury handles percussion including the pandeiro. Their song 'Além dos olhos' became particularly well-known.
They work with Brazilian rhythms and tend toward reflective material. The group has kept the same three members since starting.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
