Ocres de Nante formed in Nantes, France in 2006 around singer-songwriter Clément Lisbonne, guitarist Jean-Baptiste Delorme, bassist Antoine Mérat, and drummer Jérémie Puisais. Their music draws from French pop and British indie rock, creating atmospheric arrangements with Lisbonne's melancholic vocals at the center.
Their 2010 single "Café Passado" brought them wider attention with its haunting melody and introspective lyrics. They've released five albums including "12h45" in 2007, "Les Nuits Noires" in 2010, and "Les Contes de la Reine Pomme" in 2020.
Another track, "Deu No Jornal," shows their continued focus on poetic storytelling within dreamy guitar textures. The band has maintained their core lineup through various challenges, keeping their sound consistent across their discography.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
