Archive material and source history

Odds formed in Toronto in 1988 with Craig Northey on vocals and guitar, Doug Elliott on bass, and Pat Steward on drums. Their debut album 'Bedlam Days' came out in 1993, followed by 'Nest' in 1995. The band's 1997 album 'Good News for Modern Man' included the song 'Anybody Else But Me,' which became a radio staple in Canada.

Steward left the band in 2004, and Richard Dodd joined on drums. They've released eight studio albums, including 'Gravity' in 2014.

Northey's vocals and lyrics give the band its recognizable sound, with Elliott's bass and Dodd's drumming providing the foundation. They've maintained a steady presence in Canadian rock without chasing trends, working within a framework of guitar-driven songs that balance melody with some grit.
