Odesza

Odesza is the Seattle electronic duo of Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight, who started making music together in 2008 while at Western Washington University. Their name comes from a Greek myth, though they've mostly let the music speak for itself. Their debut album 'Summer's Gone' arrived in 2012, followed by 'In Return' in 2014, which featured vocalists like Zyra and Naomi Wild.

Their 2017 album 'A Moment Apart' reached number three on the Billboard 200 and included collaborations with Leon Bridges and Regina Spektor. More recent work includes songs like 'Across The Room' and 'The Last Goodbye,' the latter featuring Bettye LaVette. They've also released tracks with WYNNE, Mansionair, Izzy Bizu, and Sasha Sloan.

In 2015, they faced some criticism for using a Curtis Mayfield vocal sample without clearance, which led them to adjust their sampling approach. Their live shows are known for elaborate production and visual elements, though they tend to keep the focus on the music itself rather than dramatic narratives about their career.
