Off the King formed in São Paulo around the mid-2000s, with Alexandre Lopes as the vocalist. Their debut album 'Falar Até Cansar' came out in 2010, mixing alternative rock and punk with some Brazilian rhythms. The record found an audience and got them some attention.
A few years later, in 2015, they released 'Se Eu Falo Com As Paredes'. The title track became a hit in Brazil and appears to be their best-known song. Other tracks like 'Jack' and 'I Do' are also part of their catalog.
The band's lineup changed over time. Guitarist Rodrigo de Andrade and drummer Robson Sebastião left in 2014. They were replaced by bassist Henrique Marchesi and drummer Paulo Maldonado. The group toured in South America after the success of their second album.
