OJ Law formed in 2017 around London-based singer Olivia James and guitarist James Law. Their song 'Broken Record Heart' came out in 2020 and became their most recognizable track. They released a debut album called 'Reflections in a Broken Mirror' the following year.
The band's sound draws from artists like Fleetwood Mac and The Smiths, with James's vocals often carrying a confessional tone. Other songs in their catalog include 'Coriander y,' 'Credit Roll,' and 'Fantastic Adventure,' which features Liyana Fizi. They've worked as a quartet with drummer Alex Jones and bassist Tom Carter.
In 2022, the band took a brief break after a former member made allegations against James. They later returned to recording and put out another album titled 'Unveiling the Shadows' in 2023.
