The joker left the ballroom queen

And now he’s tryin’ to fix his broken dreams

In foreign starry nights

But the ballroom queen stays restless

She stumbles on the floor

The mirror ball has stopped to turn

What’s humming through the hall?

The noise of more than a decade

Oh I still can feel it’s weight and it’s getting late tonight

I chase the ghost who stole my sleep

You know once when we were wild

These days we used to ride the wave

That took us and left us kind of swaying

But I stranded on an island and it feels like I’m fraying

This brings back a friend at a gas station saying

And in artificial light, the prom of the loners

Sparks spray through the sky and a princess is waiting

And my hobo friend is saying

Could this be the last sunset in earth!?

The joker is still out of sight

He’s chasin down the coastline roads
