Okto formed in Brasília around 2005, with Bruno Kalil on vocals and Marcos Vazquez on guitar. They played local gigs and developed a sound that mixed rock with other styles. In 2012, their drummer Vinicius Dickow died in a car accident, which nearly ended the band.
