Oktopussy was a Spanish band that formed in the late 1990s. Their debut album in 1999 was titled after their most recognizable song, "El Pulpo Vacilón." The track became something of a novelty hit in Latin America, with its upbeat rhythm and playful octopus theme.

They released several more albums over the next decade, including Entre Dos Mares in 2001 and El Color Amarillo in 2003. The group's lineup included Ignacio Echevarría on lead vocals, Javier Almazán on guitar, Ernesto Montesdeoca on bass, and José María Sanchís on drums.

At one point, "El Pulpo Vacilón" drew some criticism from listeners who interpreted its lyrics as promoting drug use. The band denied this, saying they'd intended it as a lighthearted song. They kept recording through 2009's Sin Miedo a Vivir, and another of their tracks, "Mundo Cabrón," also found an audience.
